Live order flow

The ordered stream of provider-classified unusual options trades as they hit the tape. Each row is one recorded print — ticker, strike, expiry, premium, and how it executed — so you follow qualifying session activity as it happens rather than a delayed summary.

  • Sweeps, blocks and repeat prints, flagged as they land
  • Ticker, strike, premium and execution on every row
  • Open any row for that contract's history and open interest

One-ticker scan

Type a symbol and get its session read back in seconds: where premium traded, the prints that carried it, and how call- or put-heavy the day actually was. It runs free, with no account — and a quiet day reads as a quiet day, never padded.

  • Session flow lean, derived from the prints
  • Total premium, largest print, sweeps vs blocks
  • Free to run and built to be shared

Surge detection

Most of the tape is routine. Surge watches for the moments that aren't — large, aggressive orders clustering on one name in a short window — and puts the spike on the chart right where it began, with price on the same axis.

  • Clusters of aggressive orders, highlighted in time
  • Call and put premium building through the session
  • Price context on the same axis

Dealer positioning

Every options trade has a liquidity provider on the other side. The dealer map (GEX) estimates how market makers may re-hedge around price levels, strike by strike — context for how a name is sitting, never a measured position or prediction of where it goes.

  • Net dealer exposure by strike (GEX)
  • Call and put sides, drawn separately
  • Works on indexes and single names

Top movers

A live ranking of the names seeing the heaviest options activity right now — call flow stacked against put flow, biggest first — so you know where the market's attention is before deciding where to look closer.

  • Ranked by net options premium
  • Call and put sides, split per name

Questions

The desk, in plain terms.

More on reading the tape in Learn.

What is options order flow?

Options order flow is the stream of trades reported by the options exchanges — each print carrying its contract, size, premium and execution style. Reading flow means reviewing recorded activity rather than inferred direction.

What makes options activity unusual?

Size against the contract's own baseline, premium relative to typical ticker volume, and execution pattern — a sweep across exchanges reads differently from a block crossed at the bid. Options Sight flags those dimensions on the live tape and in scans; it never turns a print into a trade recommendation.

Is the data real-time?

Active Trial and Pro plans stream in real time. Free accounts access the same recorded activity delayed by fifteen minutes, with the delay clearly labelled across every surface.

Do I need an account to try it?

No. The single-ticker scanner runs without an account — type a ticker and get its latest session report. An account unlocks the live flow tape and platform desk modules.

Why are some desk modules marked 'in verification'?

Surge detection, dealer positioning (GEX), top movers, and watchlist alerts are active in the authenticated app. Delayed-tier entitlements, historical depth, and claims evidence are currently undergoing verification against our Feature Registry before independent public indexing.
